Scope of the conference
The post-symposium will promote collaboration in biotechnology research, development and innovations. During the post-symposium, institutions and companies will get the opportunity to meet with scientists and students to promote their latest technologies. A workshop strengthening the cooperation of the industry and academia will be organized. Symposium language will be English.

Registration:
Free of charge for scientists and students (the number of participants is limited to 80). The event is supported by the project “Centre of the Region Haná for Biotechnological and Agricultural Research” (CZ.1.05/2.1.00/01.0007) funded by the Operational Programme Research and Development for Innovations of the European Regional Development Fund. Only one presenting author per one abstract may register. Registrations without submitted abstract will be rejected.

Deadline for registration and abstracts: March 31, 2011

Abstract submission:
Please, submit abstract prepared using the abstract template for poster presentation via email with the subject “G4G” to the address projekty_eu@upol.cz by the deadline stated above. Abstract must be submitted using the template form attached. All abstracts will be reviewed and the corresponding author will be notified of acceptance. Registration by students entering the Student Poster Contest must be accompanied by valid proof of student status (letter from the faculty).

Posters:
Poster size is limited to 90 cm width and 130 cm length. Prizes will be given to the three best posters presented by students upon selection by the Scientific Committee.

How to reach the conference site in Olomouc:

  • By bus: Bus number 13 (from main train station) or 22 (via town center – bus stops "Tržnice" and "náměstí Hrdinů"); leave the bus at "ulice Šlechtitelů" (bus timetables at http://jizdnirady.idnes.cz/olomouc/spojeni/). Tickets can be bought at the bus driver at 16 CZK (0.65 €) or in vending machines (12 CZK).
  • By taxi: From anywhere in Olomouc for about 100 CZK (4 €).
  • By car: GPS 49°34'33.836"N, 17°16'55.153"E
